Dr. Ahmed Zaafran

Dr. Ahmed Zaafran is a practicing board-certified clinical anesthesiologist and Silicon Valley-based digital health entrepreneur. He was the CEO and President of Lucid Lane Providers, and the Chief Medical Officer of Lucid Lane, Inc, a digital health company (behavioral health and addiction medicine) he co-founded in 2018 to assist patients living with pain, along with dependence to opioids or benzodiazepines.
He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at McGovern Medical School (UTHealth) in 2012, located at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He then joined the faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology from 2012-2021.
His TEDx-Reno Talk in 2023 focused on a unique data-driven solution to prevent, and reduce, opioid dependence around surgery, while leveraging technology to improve pain and patient outcomes.
